Product Development Assistant in Eccles

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and looking to build your career in product development within a fast-paced consumer products business?

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful importer and distributor of consumer products, supplying major retailers across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Buying team, supporting the development of new products from initial concept through to launch.

You'll play a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, projects stay on track and suppliers are supported throughout the product development process.

• Supporting the Product Developer with product administration and range planning.
• Maintaining pricing information and supplier quotations to ensure commercial accuracy.
• Coordinating product samples throughout the development process and maintaining accurate sample records.
• Uploading and maintaining product information within the company's ERP system.
• Liaising with overseas factories and sourcing partners to ensure projects progress to agreed timescales.
• Supporting the critical path to help deliver successful product launches.
• Reviewing supplier documentation and ensuring product information is complete and accurate.
• Assisting with trade show preparation, including product samples, administration and event support.
• Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider Buying and Product Development team.
• ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

This opportunity would suit someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-moving commercial environment.

Previous experience within buying, product development, merchandising or consumer products would be advantageous, although we're equally interested in candidates with excellent organisational skills and a willingness to learn.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel and general IT skills.
• Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate product information.
