About the role
As a Travel Consultant, you'll be the primary point of contact for business customers — handling incoming requests by phone and email, and providing active travel consultation from itinerary details through to up-selling relevant products.
You bring an extensive, applicable understanding of the travel industry. You work independently, take initiative, and are trusted to run with requests without close supervision — while also acting as a first point of contact for teammates, guiding them on policy and procedure, joining operations projects, and coaching consultants when the team lead is away.
What you'll do
For the customer:
- Expertly use the companies Travel's tools and systems to complete requests accurately
- Anticipate and help resolve challenges before they reach the customer
- Respond promptly and give every request your full attention
- Review operational and commercial processes and suggest improvements
- Manage quality, including error handling, and support projects as assigned
For the team:
- Act as a first point of contact for teammates, answering questions on policy and procedure
- Provide day-to-day support to keep requests moving smoothly
- Join project teams working on operational improvements
- Coach travel consultants when the team lead is unavailable
- Meet individual and team goals
About you
- 1-3 years travel agent experience
- Strong attention to detail — accurate even under pressure
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, 24/7 service environment
- Proven collaboration across a global, multi-regional operation
- Solid working knowledge of travel industry policies, procedures and processes
- Advanced skills on GDS Amadeus preferred, other Global Distribution Systems considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent, demonstrated customer service and problem resolution skills
