We have a fabulous new opportunity for a proactive and engaging individual to join as a Statutory Governance Associate for Total Marketing Support (TMS), a unique and growing division of DS Smith Group, a renowned packaging and display manufacturing company.
Working closely with Group Company Secretary & Finance teams, the Statutory Governance Associate would be responsible for the filing of statutory changes, subsidiary management and providing a wide range of company secretarial services including strategic corporate Governance support to the business. This involves proactively liaising with various stakeholders and lawyers globally.
This role is crucial to the business to ensure we are adhering to the global compliance requirements and maintaining our Co Sec database with accurate information. The Statutory Governance Associate will work closely with the Statutory Governance Manager to advise directors and shareholders on corporate Governance matters, whilst implementing processes or systems to help ensure good management of the organisation and compliance with the legislation.
Strong communication, Board support, and project management skills are critical, whilst being able to present information in a clear and accessible manner to the audience.

Demonstrable experience within a Governance or company secretarial role dealing with subsidiaries is required. The Chartered Governance Institute (previously ICSA) qualification or studying towards the qualification is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels are essential. Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment is necessary. Experience with Diligent or other similar Co Sec database preferred, although training can be provided.
This is a full time, hybrid role with 2 days on site (one of which is Tuesday) at our offices in Manchester.
