About the role
DS Smith\’s Retail Marketing division is the UK\’s leading 3D POS business, partnering with top brands to create impactful in-store materials. We deliver award-winning POS by leveraging our world-class manufacturing expertise, from paper mills to print presses and recycling plants.
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and dynamic Senior Account Manager to join our division. You\’ll work with some of the UK’s leading FMCG brands, leading, developing and executing campaigns from brief to production in line with you Sales KPI’s and Account Plan targets. You\’ll collaborate closely with our clients and DS Smith production teams, driving projects through the design process efficiently and learning the intricacies of a high-performing POS business.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be pivotal in supporting client growth by implementing the account management strategy and influence the overall strategic direction of the account(s). A core part of your role will be to champion the client\’s values, ensuring we deliver outstanding service that aligns perfectly with their needs, working closely with your Account Director on strategic growth plans. You\’ll also take charge of managing special innovation projects that enhance the client\’s potential, drive retention and delight our customer and exceed their expectations.
Building strong professional and personal relationships with the client through regular interaction, whether in person or remotely, is crucial. You\’ll actively collaborate with both the client and our internal departments to ensure continually improving service levels. Finally, you will meticulously manage all key project documentation, ensuring it\’s collected, shared, and communicated seamlessly and on time to all relevant internal and external parties, guaranteeing smooth project execution.

- Demonstrable experience in Point-of-Sale account management
- Strong commercial awareness and comfortable handling the financial aspects of a role
- A sales-driven mindset with the ability to uncover and investigate new opportunities for the team
- An excellent communicator, adept at liaising with customers, with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for POS retail marketing
- Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work at pace
Location: This is a full time, home-based role with travel to our customers and our Operations site (Ely) as required.
