About the role
At DS Smith, employee safety and quality manufacturing are cornerstones of our identity . As a member of our Production team , you’ll join an operation that is relentlessly committed to safety, efficiency, and product integrity . You’ll be involved in the creation of world class products for customers, navigating challenges and discovering new ways of working along the way.
Due to continued growth in our corrugated die cut business we have two production vacancies at our Manby site. As an integral part of the team your primary responsibility will be to provide practical manufacturing support on bespoke cutting tools which in turn will enable us to meet our customer’s delivery needs. Day to day you will be completing and dispatching the tooling we produce working to individual customer drawing requirements and computer-based specifications, though our production process is very much of a hand-built nature.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a well organised, pro-active person who has a good level of manual dexterity and can also demonstrate the following:

- Methodical approach with keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work to set quality standards.
- A pro-active & flexible approach to your daily work schedule.
- Ability to access computers for basic information & customer drawings.
You will be provided with the training needed to carry out this role, so no previous experience is necessary. Once part of the team you will work on a flexed two-shift system Monday to Friday (0600-1400 and 1400-2200). You may be required to provide a flexible approach to your working hours during the week and you may also be asked to carry out some weekend working at short notice to help us meet our customers’ requirements once fully trained.
The ability to travel to Manby and be available for shift working is essential.
Salary Circa £26,768.16 plus occasional overtime, sick pay & contributory pension scheme available to the right candidate.
