We are recruiting a Production Operator to join us on a permanent term. Reporting to the Shift Manager, this role will help us achieve our business goals across DS Smith packaging.
Hours of Work
The candidate will work 37.5 hours a week across a double shift pattern (shorter shifts on Friday) consisting of:
- Morning: 6am – 2pm
- Afternoons: 2pm – 10pm
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for own and others health and safety while at work, operating in line with SSOW (safe systems of work) and company procedures to enable a safe working environment.
- Raise any unsafe acts immediately with individuals concerned and report health and safety incidents to management.
- Be responsible for the operation of machinery to ensure efficiencies are maximised and downtime is minimised.
- Achieve set productivity and performance targets ensuring consistent quality standards are met.
- Carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks correctly and in line with the planned maintenance schedule.
- Support and assist with improvement initiatives.
Experience and Key Attributes
- Experience of working in a production/machine operating environment.
