We have a fabulous opportunity at DS Smith for a motivated, energetic and experienced communicator to join us as Internal Communications Manager for our UK & Ireland Packaging, Paper and Recycling business. This is a fantastic role for the right candidate with a real opportunity to drive our internal communications agenda forward in a dynamic and fast-paced business.
You will be the lead in developing and executing communications around activities, projects and campaigns designed to engage our workforce with key business initiatives. You will also actively contribute and lead on the delivery of strategic initiatives driven by the UK Leadership team and their functional specialists, to deliver high impact employee communications across a range of business topics.
You will manage the development and delivery of the internal communications plan including calendar content management through developing engaging and impactful communication assets, adopt a proactive approach to storytelling and an innovative approach to channels and formats to ensure you reach all members of our workforce. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organisation with the ability to influence and enthuse those around you.
Experience of sourcing, writing compelling content and deploying communication materials across multiple channels is the key to being successful in this role, alongside being a passionate and energetic advocate for high quality communications across the business. About you
- Degree or equivalent in related field (Comms/Marketing/Journalism)
- Relevant experience working in a Comms/Journalism/PR role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate storyteller & Content creator
- Able to work independently while maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues around the business
- Pragmatic, detail-orientated & delivery focused
- Adaptable mindset to manage reactive issues as well as planned activities
- Confident, highly motivated and results orientated
