Roles & Responsibilities
A fixed‑term position working closely with the Production Manager to proactively identify continuous improvement activities within the production department. Assist in coordinating HSER administration for the site and liaise with the area HSER Manager. Support the Quality function, ensuring compliance and working with team leaders on investigations to identify corrective and preventive actions. Deputise for the Production Manager when required. Assist in managing projects and teams to deliver productivity improvements and better workplace engagement. Produce reports and other administrative tasks for the Production Manager and HSER Manager to meet group requirements and timescales. Review daily observation cards, provide feedback where necessary, and facilitate required actions. Review site SSOWs and SOPs to ensure compliance. Support line managers in investigating accidents, incidents and near‑misses, and ensure they are properly reported. Promote employee health & safety engagement and foster a positive H&S culture through leadership. Manage contractor control, ensuring all documentation is up‑to‑date and compliant. Facilitate development and maintenance of the integrated site quality system (including audits and Management Review) in line with ISO 9001 and divisional requirements. Act as the principal point of contact for product/service quality issues. Lead or assist investigations as required, using structured problem‑solving techniques and cross‑functional teams where appropriate. Deputise for the Production Manager and collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure continuity of daily operations.
