About the role

We are looking for an EMEA Display Business Lead to shape and deliver a best-in-class point-of-sale display and customisation strategy for one of our major European customers. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on strengthening customer retention, unlocking new sales opportunities and driving profitable growth across multiple categories, countries and manufacturing locations.

Working as the key link between DS Smith, the customer, co-packers and internal teams, you will simplify how POS is designed, governed and delivered across Europe. You will bring together commercial leadership, programme management and operational insight to reduce complexity, create value, increase share of wallet and build a scalable model for future growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the EMEA POS display and customisation agenda for a major strategic customer, acting as the trusted central point of contact across the customer organisation, co-packer network and DS Smith teams

  • Strengthen customer retention and partnership quality by building trusted relationships beyond procurement, including marketing, commercial, supply chain, packaging, design and co-packing stakeholders

  • Identify and convert new sales and growth opportunities by understanding customer priorities, connecting DS Smith expertise and creating solutions that increase share of wallet across categories and markets

  • Shape and embed a harmonised European operating model for POS, covering briefing, design, manufacturing, co-packing, deployment, reporting and performance governance

  • Develop and maintain a European POS catalogue, driving standardisation of display components, structures, fitments and specifications to improve consistency, speed, efficiency and scalability

  • Consolidate demand across categories, countries and operating units to unlock scale benefits, optimise costs and improve utilisation of the European manufacturing network

  • Recommend effective sourcing and manufacturing solutions that balance customer requirements, service, technology, location, cost and commercial value

  • Coordinate customer workshops, activation projects and market implementation plans, ensuring clear priorities, ownership, timelines and delivery across the European display network

  • Use data, dashboards and performance routines to provide visibility of sales, volume, margin, savings, pipeline, implementation progress and manufacturing performance

  • Build and manage a value creation pipeline that delivers cost savings, category growth, geographic expansion, stronger customer loyalty and sustainable profitable growth.

About You

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, MBA or equivalent experience

  • Previous business experience in key account, commercial or customer-facing roles, managing multinational customer programmes in a matrix organisation

  • Proven ability to lead cross-country projects, transformation initiatives and complex stakeholder relationships

  • Strong understanding of packaging, POS displays, retail execution, supply chain and demand management

  • Strategic and commercially focused, balancing customer needs with long-term growth, profitability, and retention

  • Strong relationship builder who influences and collaborates across stakeholders, functions, and geographies to deliver shared customer outcomes

  • Accountable and resilient, turning strategy into action while maintaining momentum through complex, long-term customer programmes

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint skills, with experience using CRM, project management or workflow tools such as LOOM

  • Fluent English. Knowledge of German is desirable

  • Flexibility for regular travel across Europe, including customer, co-packer and DS Smith sites as required.
