Drive and manage forklift operations within the DS Smith warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials and support of supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
- Fork-lift truck operations.
- Ensure all activities within the warehouse (and external stores) are carried out in line with current Health & Safety SSOW and policies.
- Ensure product received from manufacturing is correctly palletised through to the take-off lines.
- Ensure that machine supplies are managed to their correct levels to minimise any machine downtime.
- Ensure take-off lines do not back-up through effective movement of product to the loading bays or warehouse.
- Use IRF scanning systems accurately to record product movements.
- Load trailers effectively to maximise utilisation while respecting customer restrictions.
- Support manufactured volume flow through effective post-manufacturing process controls to deliver product on-time, in-full to the customer.
