This role is responsible for managing the Engineering Stores, working Monday to Friday. This includes ordering components and items required across the site, carrying out regular stock validation activities, and managing transactions.
Working with our management system, SAP, to place orders and manage stock levels is a core part of the role. Experience with SAP is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
You will have set performance targets to ensure quality standards are met, and you will need to carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks according to the planned schedule. Support with improvement initiatives will also be expected.
Full training will be provided. The role involves 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with working hours to be agreed. Occasional holiday cover for team members may be required.
What you will be doing:
- Follow site and business maintenance plans, ensuring the availability of correct items for maximum efficiency.
- Deliver agreed service levels and meet key performance indicators.
- Monitor daily stock movements and take appropriate action if KPIs are not met.
- Use data to order efficiently, minimizing costs and maximizing availability.
- Adhere to all relevant company policies.
