We are recruiting for Cutting Operatives in our production area. You will work within a team in a fast-paced environment reporting to the Shift Manufacturing Manager. You will be responsible for the operation of the Die Cutting Machinery. We are looking for candidates with experience of the following cutting machines: XL platen, Small Youngshin, Large Youngshin, Elitron, and Gullitone. No experience? No worries, we are happy to train the right person.
Health and safety is a very important aspect within our business, and you will be accountable for your own and others\β health and safety whilst at work, operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.
Within your role as a Cutting Operative, you are key to ensuring that productivity is exceptional, and your attention to detail ensures that the quality of the work leads to minimal errors and satisfied clients while working within tight deadlines. You need to ensure that maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines are planned to ensure maximum output.
The role requires you to work with a variety of personnel within your area of production and collaborate with teams in other departments across the site.
About you
- Preferred experience but not essential, as training will be given, working with and operating industrial machinery within a manufacturing environment.

- Working knowledge of good health and safety practices.
- Proven experience of working towards KPIs and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
