We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative to join DS Smith Recycling in Caerphilly! This role is a 6 month fixed-term contract.
The focus of this position is to deliver world-class customer service in a fast paced environment to delight our customers, providing a one stop shop for all their requirements. These could include booking/amending services, arranging transport and loading/unloading, preparing paperwork, and managing the resolution of any service issues.
Other responsibilities will include processing new and repeat customer orders and following up on subsequent tasks relating to load inspections, collection of fibre, production of Haulier Delivery Notes and Export Documentation Packs, and the provision of weekly reports to customers.
We’ll also be asking you to calmly resolve issues that arise and keep all relevant stakeholders up to date. Establishing reasons for wasted journeys and validity of demurrage claims, along with the resolution of material rejection orders and safety/quality alerts will become duties that you’re comfortable with, constantly improving the service that we can offer our customers.

This role will require joining a weekend/bank holiday rota, paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate. The expected shifts will be 5x Saturdays (08:30-13:30), 5x Sundays (10:00-13:30), and 1 bank holiday (08:30-13:30)., * Competitive salary
