Our Production Operators form a vital part of the Crumlin site operations team and assist with the safe setting up and running of machines to optimum levels, ensuring they are kept in good condition. They relentlessly seek to find ways of improving performance in all areas in order to help achieve high quality outputs whilst being responsible for maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards.
Key Accountabilities
- To be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with company procedures to enable a safe working environment.
- To raise any unsafe acts seen immediately with individual(s) concerned and immediate reporting of health and safety incidents to management.
- Ensure all walkways and emergency exits are kept clear.
- Familiarity with all safety procedures on any equipment in your charge.
- Positively engage with all internal safety monitoring and reporting procedures and initiatives.
- Ensure housekeeping is to highest possible standards for your area of responsibility and where possible improve it.
- Ensure industry and other relative regulations are maintained at all times.
- Assist in any corrective actions to improve the housekeeping standard of your area of work.
- Aware of the joint responsibility to keep all factory areas up to agreed standards and support your colleagues to be aware of their responsibilities.
- To be a responsible part of the team, and review and ensure the quality of work other team members are producing.
- Assist in following weekly / monthly maintenance schedules and report any problems via Daily Hubs (machine crew meetings).
- Ensure consistent high levels of quality standards are achieved on all products made.
- Ensure avoidable waste is minimised and standards are being adhered to.
- Understand productivity goals and how you can contribute to these.
- Ensure machine / engineering issues are communicated appropriately and escalate as required.
- Foster a team approach and ensure shift production targets are met.
- Challenge your own performance and improve through teamwork.
- Communicate regularly with your team to build relationships.
