About the role
The Commercial Finance Business Partner, Innovation is a key member of the divisional commercial finance team with a strong focus on supporting the Design & Innovation community and the CBUs in the commercialisation, pricing development, profitability assessments and performance tracking of tracked innovations and new service offers. In this role, you will drive business performance by actively proposing, supporting and leading projects that increase transparency and accuracy of information on the products and services. You will be a Business partner to the D&I Teams and Marketing for Packaging and to the Delivery Team for service offer development and tracking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis & Reporting - Develop P&L models and relevant balance sheet data to support business case development for new service offer proposals.
- Develop and support pricing strategies for all divisional driven, non-standard product offerings ensuring value is maximised.
- As part of the project development support the teams in understanding tax and transfer price implications are properly understood and considered and work with Group Tax on ensuring frameworks are properly created before any product or service launches.
- Act as Commercial Finance Business partner for the D&I teams supporting on the tracking of initiatives and projects e.g. Eco Bowl and other divisional scalable innovations.
- Extract reports from the central CRM to ensure the proper tracking of performance linking SDB and Navigator data.
- Support the Central Marketing team for any project linked to performance tracking.
- Work with the innovation owners to develop financials in support of the various stages of the toll gate process to ensure the necessary support is in place for the development of a business case including costs, benefits and key milestones that can be used for ongoing progress tracking.
- Ensure there is a clarity on the future operating model for the innovation and that processes are in place to support the ongoing tracking of performance.
About You
- Formal finance qualification desirable.
- Experience of developing P&Ls for new product development.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience sourcing financial data from disparate systems.
