About the role: We have a fabulous opportunity for a Senior Group Accountant to join our friendly Group Reporting Team at DS Smith. The successful candidate will be working with various parts of the business, from our Group Tax and FP&A teams to our local finance teams, so this role plays a key role within the business. This role ensures the month-end, quarterly and year-end processes are actioned smoothly and also collaborates with our external auditors, where you would be planning and liaising to ensure our audits are completed successfully. Part of this role involves liaising with senior stakeholders in the business and providing ad-hoc information and reports. As well as the day to day – the successful candidate will be able to provide information and support for the Group's external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the month-end, quarterly and year-end processes are actioned smoothly.
- Collaborate with external auditors, planning and liaising to ensure audits are completed successfully.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders to provide ad-hoc information and reports.
- Provide information and support for the Group's external auditors.
Qualifications
- Professional qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Experience with multi-currency consolidations.
- Ability to influence and confidently communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders with varying levels of financial competence.
- Experience presenting to senior stakeholders.

Location
This is a hybrid role, split between the London Paddington office (3 days) and home (2 days) – however flexibility will be required at times.
