We have a fabulous opportunity at DS Smith for a motivated, energetic and experienced analyst to join us as Insights Manager for our European Recycling and Paper business. This is a fantastic role for the right candidate with a real opportunity to drive our EMEA insight agenda forward and support ambitious growth targets in a dynamic and fast-paced international market.

You will be the lead in gathering and interpreting market data, identifying future trends, risks, and opportunities to guide our business strategy. You will also actively contribute and lead on providing the intelligence needed to inform marketing campaigns, commercial strategy, and tender applications, ensuring the "voice of the customer" is at the heart of everything we do.

You will manage the development and delivery of in-depth market analysis, using a proactive approach to storytelling to transform complex data into actionable insights and compelling value propositions. By monitoring competitor activity and PESTEL influences across multiple European markets, you will ensure our commercial teams remain at the forefront of the industry.

This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organisation, with the ability to influence and lead insights-driven discussions across EMEA. Experience in sourcing intelligence from multiple data providers and managing external research agencies is key to being successful in this role, alongside being a passionate advocate for data-driven decision-making.

About you

  • Degree or equivalent in a related field (Business/Marketing/Data)
  • Demonstrable experience in a Marketing, Business Intelligence, or Insights role
  • Exceptional analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate storyteller with the ability to craft compelling narratives from data
  • Able to work independently while maintaining strong working relationships with European colleagues
  • Pragmatic, detail-orientated & delivery focused
  • Adaptable mindset to manage reactive market shifts as well as planned research
  • Confident, highly motivated and results-orientated
