Job Description

The DS Smith customer service team is a dynamic and vibrant mix of professionals who focus on delivering the sales strategy, goals and performance while working to delight customers by showcasing our sustainable and innovative packaging solutions.

The team is the face of our business and our biggest ambassadors.

If you are currently working in an administrative role but want something slightly different, or you are super organised and enjoy working as part of a wider team, this role may be for you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro‑active, and self‑motivated individual to join the UK Packaging Division as a Customer Service Co‑ordinator.

As a natural people‑person, you will thrive on networking daily with existing and potential customers to support the administrative process for our Burscough site, serving as the point of call for our customer base.

Working closely with Sales and Site teams, you will stay organised and detail‑oriented to ensure all process information and reporting—both internally and customer‑facing—are accurate and updated as needed.

This role is a central part of our site team, dealing with a variety of information and stakeholders so each day is different.

About you

  • Relevant customer‑facing experience, ideally within a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Able to work independently but also comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders around the business.
  • Positive and can‑do attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Computer literate, especially on Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, etc.).

This is a full‑time role based at our site in Burscough, Monday to Friday with working hours 9:00am–4:45pm.
