We are on the lookout for a forward-thinking Design Implementation Specialist to join our North Cluster Design & Innovation team at DS Smith. Based at our Featherstone packaging site, you'll help bring innovative packaging concepts to life for our FMCG, e-Commerce and specialty clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in transforming creative packaging designs into prototypes that exceed customer expectations and boost operational efficiency. You'll be working closely with our Sales and Design teams to ensure the seamless delivery of custom solutions that delight our clients every day.
What you'll do:
- Bring to life creative packaging concepts developed by our Creative and Innovation Specialists
- Produce prototypes that align with client briefs and technical requirements
- Use CAD and other design tools to craft both 2D and 3D packaging solutions
- Work with cutting-edge software and remote collaboration tools to support sustainable design
- Gain a deep understanding of the full packaging design process while learning from industry experts

What we're looking for:
- Essential:
- Recognised qualification in packaging or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience using CAD and collaborative design platforms
- Strong grasp of 2D and 3D design principles
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator and proactive team player
- Able to thrive under pressure during busy periods
- Proficient in MS Office (Adobe skills a bonus)
- Desirable:
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with other design software beyond CAD
