Our DS Smith site in Fordham is seeking a Shunter to join us in delivering upon our distribution strategy to achieve service excellence. The focus is to deliver world-class service in a fast-paced environment to delight our customers, grow our business and contribute towards achieving and exceeding Fordham's goals and targets.
Prior preparation of all curtain-sided trailers to be loaded, including:
- Visual inspection of the trailer
- Sweeping the trailer-bed floor
- Ensuring all restraint systems are fit for purpose, correctly positioned & secured
Familiarisation with operating LGV equipment within the workplace and can clearly demonstrate understanding on the importance of compliance with safety rules & regulations. Is both self-motivated and a motivator for other people.
