D&S Skip Services are looking for an experienced welder/fabricator to join our team. 39.5 hours per week. Hours are Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30, and Friday 07:30-13:00.
We’re looking for an experienced hands-on professional to help build and assemble skips and roll-on containers for the waste industry. This role requires lifting and manual handling of heavy materials. Training is provided for the right candidate.
Preferred Skills & Experience (Training Provided):- MIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Problem solving and thinking outside the box to get the job done
- Forklift driving (preferred)
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Ensure tools/equipment are maintained and functional
- Follow all health & safety procedures
- Operating workshop tools: cutting, bending, drilling, grinding using both handheld and heavy plant (3mtr guillotine and 4mtr 150T press-break)
