My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor of somewhere between intermediate and senior level - 3-10 years' experience. This contractor comprises a group of businesses with a combined turnover of £50m and I am looking for someone who can introduce, implement and manage the commercial success of projects within diamond drilling and steel works - architectural and structural. You don't necessarily need experience in the above sectors. The key is the desire to progress quickly within a business where your efforts will be pivotal to the contractor's success going forward. The opportunity to climb the career ladder is genuine and achievable.
Typically, you will spend 2-3 days in the office and 1-2 days on site - all of my clients' projects are within an hour of St Albans. The base salary is anywhere between £45k-£75k and this is dependent on relevant experience. Ideally, you will have a Quantity Surveying degree, confidence in your abilities and the desire to make a positive difference to a successful medium-sized business.
