I have been asked to find a Site Manager for Manchester and the North West to work on Groundworks and Civil Engineering packages. As well as in and around Manchester I m looking for candidates around the Runcorn, Warrington, St Helens, Merseyside, N Wales regions. My client a groundworks contractor working on a mixture of commercial and residential projects, is looking for someone to start in January 2025. You’ll need experience in Groundworks/rc frames/highways/drainage. You’ll need to hold the SMSTS qualification and be able to complete basic RAMS, ordering materials, hiring of plant and be enthusiastic and ambitious. You will be responsible for the safe, timely and on-budget delivery of projects under your supervision. The successful candidate will look after 3/4 smaller projects or one larger project at any time and you will need to come from a groundworks/Civil Engineering contracting background. The daily rate available will be around £300 + and vehicle/fuel expenses- there is room for negotiation for candidates that can demonstrate the right experience and a successful and stable track record.
