I have been asked to find a Plant/Yard Manager for my client based near Barnsley. This is a hire business that encompasses excavators from 6 to 22 tonnes, generators, compressors, small tools and lifting equipment. Knowledge and experience of formwork will also be a bonus, particularly the understanding of the condition of formwork when orders are being placed.
Ideally, candidates will come from a plant hire or formwork hire background. The role will be varied and my client is looking for a hands-on Manager who will ensure that best practice and safety are being maintained. You will be responsible for 5 yard operatives and also a driver who operates a 32 tonne wagon for delivery of plant and formwork.
Working hours are typically 47.5 per week and you can be paid either a salary or an hourly rate equivalent. The base salary will be between 40-45k. This is a great opportunity to join a successful and growing business in a key stage of their development.
