Summary

Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Yeovil.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

We are recruiting registered nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), physiotherapists and occupational therapists (OTs) in Yeovil who wish to build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and enjoy a healthy work life balance and professional development that a career as a WCA Functional Assessor can provide.
We seek clinicians with at least 1 year post-qualification experience and registration in the UK. This role expands your medical knowledge across a wide range of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
The role is full time Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm and offers a salary of £37,500 to £40,000.
- £1,000 salary uplift after your first 6 months and a further £1,000 uplift after 12 months.
- Work‑life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights, weekends or shift work.

Responsibilities
You will undertake a combination of file‑work, face‑to‑face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims. Assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer\’s day‑to‑day life and performing work‑related activities.
Comprehensive training will equip you with the skills to support customers and transfer your current skills and knowledge to the level required for the role. You will have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours CPD protected per annum, support with revalidation and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation.
Qualifications
- One year post‑registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, enabling you to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
- Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
