We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD) Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists or Paramedics in Weston-super-mare who are looking for a change in direction and to use their skills and knowledge in a different way, as a Functional Assessor. We’re looking for people with the compassion and experience to understand claimants’ health conditions/disabilities and how they impact their lives. And we need people who can balance that with good computer skills, impartiality and strong time management. The role involves conducting initial reviews, paper-based reviews, face-to-face, video or telephone assessments to evaluate how a PIP claimant’s health condition or disability affects their day-to-day life. You will create a report following each assessment detailing an individual’s ability to carry out daily living activities and analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence. You will create three comprehensive 3,000-4,000-word reports of the evidence gathered for each claimant, each day. This is a Hybrid role which means you’ll be based at home and assigned to work from your nearest assessment centre on a rota basis to deliver face-to-face assessments.
