We are recruiting registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Aylesbury who want to use and expand their clinical skills and benefit from excellent work–life balance and professional development as a PIP Functional Assessor.
We are seeking applications from clinicians with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience and UK registration. In this role you will grow your medical knowledge across a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.
The role is full time Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 and offers a salary of £40,000 (PIP) per annum plus:
- £1000 salary uplift after 6 months and a further £1000 uplift after 12 months
- Work-life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights or weekend shifts
- Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you are an Approved Functional Assessor
- Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week at a consultation centre
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and the option to purchase up to five additional days

You will undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits, and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed benefit decisions. Assessments focus on how a disability affects day-to-day life and work-related activities.
Comprehensive training will provide you with the skills to support customers and transfer your current skills to the level required for the role. You will have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours protected per annum, support with revalidation and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation.
Requirements
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restrictions or conditions and with a valid PIN
- Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper
- Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
