The role is full time Monday to Friday 9 – 5 and offers a salary of £39,500 - £42,000 per annum, with a £1000 salary uplift after your first 6 months (PIP only) and a further £1000 salary uplift after 12 months (PIP and WCA).

Work-life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights, weekends or shifts required.

Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor.

The role is a Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week working at one of our consultation centres.

25 days annual leave, plus bank holiday and the option to purchase up to five additional days.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
  • Assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day-to-day life and performing work-related activities.
  • Comprehensive training will provide you with the skills to support customers and transfer your current skills and knowledge to the level required for the role.
  • Ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours CPD protected per annum, support with revalidation and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation.

Qualifications

  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
  • The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
