Overview: We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Luton who want to use and build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work-life balance and professional development that a career as a Functional Assessor can give you. We are seeking applications from clinicians with a minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience and registration in the UK. In this role, you will grow your medical knowledge of a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions. The role is full time Monday to Friday 9 – 5 and offers a salary of £40,850 - £43,750 per annum, with a £1000 salary uplift after your first 6 months (PIP only) and a further £1000 salary uplift after 12 months (PIP and WCA).
Work-life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights, weekends or shifts required. Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor. The role is a Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week working at one of our consultation centres. 25 days annual leave, plus bank holiday and the option to purchase up to five additional days. Responsibilities:
- Undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits.
- Provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
- Focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day-to-day life and performing work-related activities.
- Receive comprehensive training to support customers and transfer current skills to the level required for the role.
- Engage in ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours CPD protected per annum, support revalidation and develop your career within the organisation.
Qualifications:
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, giving you the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
- Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
