As a Senior Trading Systems Engineer, you’ll have an opportunity to exercise your extensive skills while helping solve complex technical problems. You’ll work closely with trading, infrastructure and software development teams to provide smooth support for our technology. We’ll ask you to communicate directly with exchanges, traders and developers to iron out any problems that arise.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the health and availability of a world class trading ecosystem
- Responding to support requests from our traders and software engineers
- Contributing to our automation and monitoring solutions, reducing manual configuration and improving uptime
- Liaising with external trading partners, such as financial exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical issues
- Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems and technologies
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years working in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
- Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets
- Thrives in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers and other engineering teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks
- Ability to devise complex SQL database queries and updates
- Basic networking knowledge, including multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
