As a Trading Operations Specialist, you will support trading desks based in London. This role offers the opportunity to solve challenging problems while working closely with experienced traders, researchers, and software engineers to optimize operational workflows and utilize the right tools and technology.
Responsibilities- Act as process owner for current functionalities and provide support and advice on technology, workflows, and processes.
- Understand traders’ risk management tools and support their needs.
- Upgrade and support traders’ tools to utilize firm-standard technologies effectively.
- Collaborate with technology teams to improve tools.
- Adopt and promote new technology as it becomes available.
- Master the firm’s proprietary systems related to trade capture, inventory, treasury, and risk management, especially for futures and options.
- Perform trade and position reconciliation with clearing houses, counterparties, and brokers.
- Calculate and substantiate daily P&L.
- Provide operational support for the FX Options desk and Direct Trading.
- Interest or experience in FX markets.
- At least 2 years in front, middle, or back office roles involving exchange-traded and OTC derivatives.
- Proficiency in Python, Git, Linux, and SQL for at least 2 years.
- Experience with futures, options, or OTC products is preferred.
- Experience interacting with front office and senior management in a trading environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and analyze problems effectively.
