The predicted salary is between 22500 - 27500 £ per year.

You will work directly within a dedicated middle or back‑office team, such as Global Trading Operations, Treasury/Cash, Business Management, or Finance. Over the course of your 10‑week internship, you will contribute meaningfully to your team’s objectives and gain in‑depth knowledge in your specific area of placement.

  • Analyze situations, develop solutions aligned with our strategic goals and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Effectively collaborate within diverse teams and build lasting relationships with cohort members and the LRN community.
  • Contribute to projects and daily processes, gaining insight into your team’s scope and their collective role in supporting our trading business.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and a foundation of how our trading functions work together cohesively.

You'll be right at home if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
  • A strong desire to learn, a curious mindset, a commitment to integrity, and the ability to deliver results both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly, act with urgency, and communicate effectively.
  • The ability to work independently while building strong relationships across business groups.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large, structured data sets.
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data tools, with the interest and ability to deepen these skills on the job.
  • The ability to use AI‑enabled tools to accelerate analysis, troubleshoot issues, draft queries or scripts, summarise information, and identify opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Sound judgment when validating AI‑generated outputs, protecting confidential information, documenting assumptions, and escalating uncertainty.
  • A demonstrated analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to investigate data discrepancies, reconcile information across systems, and communicate conclusions clearly.
  • An interest in automation, process improvement, and using technology to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Work authorisation in the United Kingdom without the need for sponsorship in the future.
  • An interest in the trading and technology industry, with a specific aspiration to build a career in the middle/back‑office (this role is not a pathway to a front office opportunity).
  • A desire to live and work in London (this opportunity requires physical presence and is not offered remotely).

  • Meaningful projects: You’ll receive a challenging project to complete during your time here, specifically aligned with the middle or back‑office functions. Each project is advised by an experienced professional from your team, promoting a comprehensive learning experience and providing you with meaningful work experience.
  • Community: Throughout the summer, we host a variety of educational, social and team‑building activities to foster friendship and camaraderie.
  • Housing: DRW provides fully furnished apartments located close to the office – making your morning commute as easy as possible.
  • Mentorship: You’ll build a professional relationship with an experienced mentor in your field. Mentors and mentees meet to discuss goals, challenges and professional development and explore the city together at our mentor outings.
  • Education: As part of your onboarding, you'll participate in a 5‑day market fundamentals course that will equip you with essential knowledge about the trading industry and the critical roles of middle and back‑office functions. In addition, throughout the summer, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a speaker series designed to further your understanding of DRW’s scope and operations. These educational experiences aim to provide you with a comprehensive view of how our trading infrastructure and support systems work, preparing you for the unique opportunities and challenges that lie in the evolving landscape of finance and trading.
