The DRVN Automotive Group are seeking a Materials & Production Planner to join our team in Coventry, ensuring the timely availability of materials and creating achievable production plans that support customer demand, inventory targets and operational efficiency.

Working across material requirements, supplier schedules, production planning and inventory, the successful candidate will use MRP/ERP systems and planning data to balance customer demand with material availability and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage material requirements using MRP/ERP systems.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and expedite orders where required.
  • Balance production capacity against customer demand to support achievable production plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support actions to reduce excess stock.
  • Produce KPI, planning and performance reports to support operational decision‑making.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Production plan adherence.
  • Inventory turns.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Manufacturing planning experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with planning data.
  • Effective stakeholder management across suppliers, purchasing and production teams.
