The DRVN Automotive Group is recruiting exclusively for a Junior Maintenance Engineer / Technician to join their dynamic team in Coventry to work on the most exciting programmes announced to date. As a Junior Maintenance Engineer / Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Work on automated production equipment and machinery
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained to required standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Fault finding on PLC systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley)
  • Maintain sensors, drives, motors, and control systems
  • Support continuous improvement of automated processes
  • Identify recurring faults and implement solutions
  • Improve reliability, uptime, and equipment performance (OEE)
  • Work in line with HSE regulations
  • Ensure equipment complies with PUWER and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Willingness to learn
  • Apprenticeship or some industry experience
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment
