As a Build Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly, servicing, maintenance, repair, testing and preparation of luxury, performance and motorsport vehicles. Working as part of a skilled technical team, you will contribute to the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of vehicle build and workshop activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, maintain and repair vehicles to specification.
  • Carry out routine diagnostics, inspections and fault identification.
  • Complete vehicle testing and commissioning activities as required.
  • Ensure all work meets company, customer and manufacturer quality standards.
  • Complete all job cards, inspection records and technical documentation accurately.
  • Report defects, non-conformances and technical concerns promptly.
  • Prepare luxury, performance and motorsport vehicles for customer delivery, events and track activities.
  • Support vehicle preparation for testing and specialist projects.
  • Assist with bespoke builds and vehicle modifications under technical guidance.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship appropriate to high-value vehicles.
  • Carry out in-process quality inspections.
  • Ensure completed work complies with company quality procedures.
  • Maintain workshop equipment, specialist tools and test equipment in good working order.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and workshop objectives.
  • Share technical knowledge and support other team members where appropriate.
  • Participate positively in team meetings and improvement activities.
  • Develop personal technical knowledge through ongoing learning and training.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Follow approved repair methods and workshop procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within automotive, luxury, performance or specialist vehicle environments.
  • Good mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Hybrid and Electric Vehicle qualification.
  • Experience working with prestige or motorsport vehicles.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • High standard of workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Working Conditions

  • Workshop-based environment with occasional customer-site or event support.
