The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Due to ongoing herd expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Stockman to join our team in Perthshire. Currently running 200 commercial spring calving cows, 2300 ewes along with 800ac of arable.
Applicants must show a good level of animal husbandry skills such as:
- Monitoring animal health
- Administering treatments
- Accurate record keeping
- Attention to detail
The role will entail the day-to-day management of the cattle including:
- Feeding
- Bedding
- Calving
- Routine checks
The successful candidate would also be responsible for wider herd management such as:
- Buying bulls
- Selecting heifer replacements
- Culling cows
Along with general farm work and maintenance, pressure washing, fencing etc. as well as tractor work to support the arable enterprise. Accommodation provided.
