Our Ashburton branch is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Parts Sales Consultant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in the industry working with premium brands including John Deere and Origin Ag. You’ll be supported to develop your knowledge in parts and the broader industry, growing as a key member of the parts operation where customer service, high service levels and inventory control are key! … all while learning on the job as you complete your MITO certificate in parts! On completion, you’ll transition to being a trained Parts Sales Consultant in our team.
Responsibilities
- Engaging with customers in store, over the phone and by e-mail.
- Developing your knowledge to identify, promote and sell product solutions to our customers’ needs.
- Receiving and processing inwards/outwards goods, gaining crucial exposure to a large range of parts.
- Growing your customer service skills, as well as your understanding of the parts sales process.
- Supplying our workshop technicians with parts required for servicing and repairs.
- Effectively and efficiently completing associated documentation.
- Adhering to relevant practices to ensure high health and safety standards at DNE.
About You
- Apart from being eager to broaden your knowledge of John Deere Agricultural and Construction & Forestry equipment, you’ll also thrive working in a team environment and be flexible to adapt to any situation.
- An understanding of the agriculture industry – familiarity with relevant machinery is an advantage.
- Previous experience in customer service, and/or a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
- Experience using IT solutions in daily activity, with an ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- A track‑record of going the extra mile when required to meet the demands of the role.
- Technical equipment knowledge or experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Proven experience giving 100% to your own learning and development, along with a history of committing to things to completion!
This is a busy and varied role that will cover our customer base across the region, providing a crucial backup to the premium product range we offer our customers.
