As a senior systems engineer, you will be working within a small team of skilled design engineers to supply high quality products and systems to the defence industry. This role involves designing, developing, and reviewing digital and analogue circuits, as well as firmware subsystems, from concept to final product.
Responsibilities
- Undertake design activities at equipment and system levels.
- Meet technical requirements through all phases of design, integration, and leading to customer acceptance.
- Provide communications to internal and external stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in translating systems requirements to innovative electronics design solutions, leading to successful customer acceptance within project timescales and budget.
- Experience in all aspects of electronics product design, including legislative compliance (e.g. UKCA/CE, EMC, ROHS, Safety, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree-level education or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Previous experience working with MoD customers.
