The successful Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring a critical complex project within the Company’s Maritime Communications portfolio is delivered on time, to budget, within scope and to the required quality, safety and security standards.
Reporting to: Head of Delivery
Responsibilities
- To be the prime point of contact with the Customer.
- Ensure that the project is managed day-to-day in an efficient and controlled manner.
- Develop a realistic project schedule, which aligns with the declared lifecycle model, to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.
- Report progress and financial status to the Senior Management Team each month.
- Assess, review and actively manage project risk.
- Ability to foster working relationships with customers and pursue business opportunities.
- Support the selection of key suppliers to the project ensuring clear requirements and milestones are provided.
Key Attributes
- Minimum of 4 days in the Chertsey office.
- Sole UK Citizen, ideally from birth.
- Knowledge of the Defence Industry and Project Development Lifecycle.
- Ability to obtain or already have a high security clearance (DV minimum).
- Good communication skills, being able to communicate with all levels of stakeholders and classifications.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills specifically Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
- Full driving licence.
- Hold a recognised Project Management qualification such as APMP or its equivalent (desirable).
- Understanding of Risk Tools and Earned Value Management & Analysis (desirable).
