NFU Energy is the go-to energy consultant for agriculture and related industries, providing advice on all aspects of energy, from procuring energy contracts to sourcing and recommending energy solutions. To help match our client needs with services to support them, we are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our busy sales team. Proactively targeting warm leads and increasing sales revenue from these businesses, your role will be key in achieving ambitious personal and team targets. You will be highly involved in all aspects of the sales process and will be contributing to developing and interrogating sales figures. You will excel at generating leads, building relationships and closing deals.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
- To be part of and to support the company's sales and marketing team
- To achieve personal sales targets through the successful implementation of sales & marketing strategies
- To help achieve team sales targets through the successful implementation of sales & marketing strategies
- To maintain an accurate and up to date pipeline of new business opportunities
- To actively follow up all assigned new sales leads and opportunities, in a timely fashion
- To support the new lead generation team
- To maintain and, as necessary, help develop effective sales processes
- To interrogate and report sales figures
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A proven track record in “technical” Business to Business sales
- Practical experience of sales administration – including the production of bespoke proposals
- The practical use of CRM/sales management systems
- Understanding of energy related products and services
- Experience of successfully managing deadlines and outcomes
- Target driven experience in making sales related telephone calls including “warm/cold” calling
You will also need to:
- Have the ability to pick up and understand the technical aspects of our products and services
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
In return you will receive a salary up to £29,000 plus an OTE of £3,500 per annum depending on experience, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), plus company benefits including pension, group life assurance (3 times salary), NFU membership and more. You will be based at our office in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We support work-life balance and operate a hybrid working policy with a mixture of home and office working available, and access to mental health support.
