We are looking for a practice nurse to join our progressive team. Join our friendly and supportive team at Vittoria Medical Centre. We require a Practice Nurse for 25 hours per week, to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy and rewarding environment.
Main duties of the job:
- Basic wound care
- Removal of sutures
- New patient medicals
- Urinalysis
- Peak flow readings
- Chronic Disease Management
- Venepuncture
- Blood pressure measurements
- Ear syringing
- Routine immunisations
- Cytology
- Provision of contraception and sexual health advice
- Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
- Assisting GPs with minor surgery
- Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
