Join the healthcare MDT at Oakhill STC, delivering equitable, trauma-informed nursing care to children and young people in a secure setting. You'll lead medication rounds (including controlled drugs), carry out admission health assessments and triage, manage minor illness and injury, and act as named lead nurse for an area of healthcare all while supporting effective pre-release care planning and referrals into wider health services. This is a chance to help reshape healthcare delivery for some of the most vulnerable young people in the justice system, working across agencies to build joined-up, person-centred pathways.

  • Degree-level qualification
  • Active, unrestricted NMC PIN
  • Minimum 1 year's clinical experience
  • Experience working across services/agencies, ideally including a secure environment
  • Experience driving innovation or service change
  • Strong relational skills with young people presenting complex mental health needs
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and mediation skills

If you're a compassionate nurse who thrives in a challenging, high-impact environment and wants to make a genuine difference for children in custody, we'd love to hear from you.
