Director of People & Culture
4 days per week (2 days visiting sites, 2 days WFH)

HR Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced hands-on HR professional to partner with the GMs and report into the CFO. The organisation is a PE backed SME start up. There are currently 4 companies in the group (the largest being near Bristol) and the purchase of a 5th company is on the agenda.
The role is initially stand alone but with scope to recruit additional support depending on the needs of the organisation. The role entails evaluating existing business practices, introducing new ones, and establishing standardisation across the group.
Role Responsibilities
- Developing corporate HR plans, and ensuring HR aligns with the company’s strategic direction.
- Providing functional professional advice to management in all areas of People and Culture, including learning and development, employment law, best practice and retention and recruitment.
- Ongoing review and improvement of the company’s occupational health, employee programmes, staff benefits and packages.
- Being accountable for company compliance with current regulations, professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation.
- Implementing a continuous improvement agenda with focus on engagement and welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability.
- Ensure the organisational structure uses development principles most appropriate to support future growth.
- Determine relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) for incentive schemes.
- Promote inspirational leadership by demonstrating the company’s values and championing the leadership behaviour framework.
- Create and oversee the plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with company values, business strategy and commitments.

The full time salary for the role is 80-85K. Pro rated for 4 days is 64-68K.
