Location: Ashford, Kent. Permanent, Hybrid (1 day in the office each week). You must live within 1 hour commute to be considered for this role. The role is based outside Ashford, therefore access to a car is essential.
Employer: HR Recruit is seeking an experienced HR professional to take on a senior, standalone role within an expanding organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal leadership position with full responsibility for overseeing and managing all aspects of HR across the business worldwide.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of international HR strategies, ensuring policies and procedures align with best practice and business objectives.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and review health and safety policies in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
- Oversee all stages of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, employee relations, and development, fostering a consistent and inclusive culture across a globally distributed workforce.
- Drive a positive performance culture by establishing clear objectives, robust performance management frameworks, and meaningful appraisal processes, supported by individual and team development plans.
- Implement and maintain consistent global processes for recruitment, performance management, and reward frameworks, while incorporating regional feedback to ensure local relevance where appropriate.
- Embed succession planning to support business continuity and talent retention across all regions.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and labour standards.
- Design and deliver initiatives that enhance engagement, strengthen workplace culture, and improve employee retention across regions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, workforce planning, and organisational development.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a HR Generalist.
- Strong understanding of UK HR principles, best practices and current employment legislation.
- Demonstrates experience in people operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and leadership excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication including active listening skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking: ability to analyse complex situations objectively and identify root causes.
- Ability to influence across all areas of the business.
- Hands-on with a can-do attitude.
- Assertive and culturally aware.
In return you will receive a salary of between £60,000-£70,000 (Circa).
