- Manufacturing Quality Engineer
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, customers and the wider supply chain to drive continual improvement, investigate non-conformances and monitor key performance indicators across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused Quality or Manufacturing Engineer looking to play an important role within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and review FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), including the use of Net-Inspect.
- Carry out containment activities where required.
- Raise, review and submit PPAPs in line with individual customer requirements.
- Conduct internal and external audits, as well as supporting and hosting customer and third-party audits.
- Control and maintain required standards, data cards and manufacturing sequences.
- Manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Investigate non-conformances and support continual improvement across the business.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality requirements are met.
About You
The ideal candidate will be
- Well organised, proactive and highly detail-oriented.
- Customer focused, with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer satisfaction.
- A confident communicator who can work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- IT proficient, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas.
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, or higher.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
You should have a good understanding of
- APQP
- PPAP
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- MSA
- RCCA, including 8D, 3C and PIR
- FAIRs
- Microsoft Office / Microsoft software
- Internal auditing
You will also need to be confident dealing with customers at all levels and comfortable working across different areas of the business.
