Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Dimensional Inspector to join their team.
The Role
As a Dimensional Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out dimensional and visual inspection of manufactured components, ensuring work meets the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Inspector, but a trainee candidate with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of manufactured components.
- Use manual measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and DTI gauges.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure components meet the required dimensional and quality standards.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate inspection records.
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a dimensional inspection or quality inspection role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Essential
- Experience using manual measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and DTI gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliable, methodical and willing to learn.
Desirable
- Previous experience using CMM machines.
- Experience with Pro 3D / QCT software.
- Previous aerospace or precision engineering experience.
Trainee candidates will also be considered where they demonstrate the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to develop their inspection skills.
