We’re looking for an E&I Projects Lead to provide technical leadership and deliver Electrical & Instrumentation project scopes from concept through to commissioning and closeout. Reporting to the Projects Delivery Manager, you’ll lead a team of engineers, ensuring safe, compliant and commercially sound project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- You’ll take ownership of E&I project delivery, ensuring outputs meet safety, quality, regulatory and client requirements. This includes overseeing engineering deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and supporting construction and commissioning activities.
- You’ll lead, coach and develop a team of Project Engineers, managing resource allocation across projects and ensuring delivery against programme milestones, costs and contractual obligations.
- You will also approve key technical and commercial documentation within Delegation of Authority.
- A key part of the role is acting as the main interface with clients, vendors and internal teams, ensuring alignment, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- You’ll also ensure full compliance with QHSE standards, promote a safety-first culture, monitor performance metrics, and support continuous improvement through lessons learned and system updates.
About you
You’re a strong communicator with a structured, delivery-focused approach. You’re comfortable leading teams, managing competing priorities, and making decisions in a project environment. You bring solid technical capability alongside commercial awareness.
Requirements
- You’ll hold a degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, or a related discipline, with at least five years’ experience in E&I or C&I project delivery.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) is expected, alongside COMPEX certification (Ex01–Ex04) or equivalent hazardous area experience.
- Offshore certification and medical are desirable depending on project requirements.
- You’ll have experience with control and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, and a working knowledge of SCADA/DCS, automation and industrial communication protocols.
Additional information
This role may involve occasional travel and on-call support depending on project requirements.
