Rope Access Technical Assistant, Westhill Dron & Dickson, Westhill, United Kingdom Engineering Services (Contracts) Company Description Dron & Dickson are specialists in integrated supply, installation and maintenance of harsh & hazardous electrical equipment. Based at five UK locations, we provide specialist E&I inspection, maintenance and project services to all parts of the Offshore & Onshore Energy sector, Pharmaceutical and Marine industries. The primary purpose of this role is to work alongside the Rope Access Technical Coordinator to ensure technical compliance & consistent delivery of customer service to proactively contribute to the Engineering Service department strategy. Objective: Ensure all appointed client operations within Rope Access are completed in full compliance with relevant IRATA HSE, Legislation, Industry Standards, company procedures and client requirements. Reporting to: Rope Access Technical Authority Core Alignment Responsibilities: Understand and support the company\’s mission, vision and values Responsibility of personal learning, development and KPI completion Promote and proactively adhere to the company\’s core values in all day-to-day activities and interactions. Role Responsibilities: Assist and learn Dron & Dickson processes and systems from Rope Access Technical Coordinator & Technical Authority Ensure dispatch of Dron & Dickson equipment to meet mobilisation requirements Communicate regularly with the D&D project coordinators on equipment status Assist with monitoring and maintaining rope access and test equipment databases Assist with receipt, inspection, processing, packing and despatch of all Rope Access goods including paperwork Ensure records and certifications are maintained accurately and in a timely manner in line with current legislation and internal processes Assist with stock control duties, including but not limited to control of stock records, rolling stock checks Work closely with Rope Access Technical Authority and Engineering Services Coordinator to ensure that rope access equipment is readily available in line with business needs Forklift duties as applicable Control the issue, return and calibration of Engineering Services team tools and test equipment Control and issue of PPE & Stock levels Maintain good communications with internal and external clients Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement and development of the companyโ€™s systems and processes Maintain Health & Safety standards at all times, ensuring that all equipment and paperwork is kept at a high standard and fully compliant at all times Be fully aware, assist and support the ongoing development of the integrated management system Ad hoc duties as requested by management Travel may be necessary to ensure delivery of business needs Social and business networking is expected HSEQ Responsibilities: Comply with all Dron & Dicksonโ€™s integrated management system including all policies and procedures Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting. Act ethically and with integrity Ensure all health and safety training is undertaken. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health. Requirements Core Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Articulate, dynamic, energetic and delivery focused Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure Ability to represent Dron & Dickson in a positive and effective manner Take responsibility for managing personal performance and results Core Training & Competencies: Educated to National 5 or equivalent PPE Inspection Competent Person Certificate is desirable Manual Handling training is desirable Dangerous Goods Certification is desirable Other Information Personal Development: The opportunity to undertake development and progression via a personal development plan is linked to this role. Contracted Hours: 38.25 hours per week with 45 mins for lunch Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs: 8.30am โ€“ 5pm Fri: 8.30am โ€“ 4.30pm Benefits Package: Pension: 3% Company Contribution, minimum 5% employee contribution 33 days annual leave (inclusive of 8 public holidays).
