Purpose: ‘Everyone Home Safe’ – An encapsulation of the right for everyone to return from work safely and promote their wellbeing; this applies to Dron & Dickson staff and all who come in to contact with our work activities. Our systems, processes and culture coupled with our supply and services ensures people, plant and the environment are kept safe. The primary purpose of this role is to engage with key and target clients, manufacturer partners and liaise with internal stakeholders. Continual promotion of the company’s wholesale services, our culture and our core values, and ensuring our customers receive the best possible service levels. Working with clients problem-solving through the specification of innovative and safe solutions, in line with our company purpose and strategy.

Objective: The primary objective of this role is to find new business opportunities, whilst nurturing and developing existing business. Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets in line with the company’s strategic growth plans.

Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor

Core Alignment Responsibilities:

  • Understand and support the company's mission, vision and values
  • Responsibility of personal learning, development and KPI completion
  • Promote and proactively adhere to the company’s core values in all day-to-day activities and interactions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Processing Stock: Input/ updating computerised records, unloading deliveries, checking goods for damage, and ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Order Picking and Packing: Selecting items via RF gun from storage, based on system generated orders, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment.
  • Inventory Control: Keeping accurate records of stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks via RF gun, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Operating Equipment: Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE to move/store goods.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects and ensuring that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards.
  • Communication: Maintain good communications with clients via email/phone.
  • Ad-hoc duties as requested by Management.
  • May be required to carry out deliveries utilising company vehicles (Full and valid driver’s license is required, group insurance restrictions allowing).

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Dron & Dickson’s integrated management system including all policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Act ethically and with integrity.
  • Ensure all health and safety training is undertaken.
  • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
