School Receptionist (Part Time, Term Time Only plus banked hours) £12,754 per annum (£24,522 FTE). We are seeking a highly organised, professional and personable individual to join our team from September 26 as a School Receptionist in our busy and vibrant secondary school. This is a key frontline role and an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering a warm, efficient and responsive service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and students, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming impression of the school. The role requires a calm, confident and resilient approach, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding and high‑visibility position.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a friendly and professional reception service to all visitors and callers
- Managing enquiries, phone calls and communications efficiently and courteously
- Supporting administrative functions across the school
- Maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information with discretion
- Assisting with student queries and day‑to‑day operational matters
- Providing first aid to students and staff as required (training will be provided if necessary), ensuring appropriate care and accurate record‑keeping
